Do I cook my meals at Let's Eat!?

No. You assemble your fresh ready-to-cook meals at Let's Eat! and take them home and put them in your freezer. Simply take a meal from your freezer and put it in the refrigerator to thaw approximately one to two days before you would like to eat it. Once it's thawed, simply follow the cooking instructions on the Let's Eat! cooking label that we provide to you for each meal. No more microwaves! Making dinner has never been so easy!

What do I need to bring?
  • We use a combination of pans, foil, and ziploc bags for our meals. We provide the ziploc bags, pans and foil for you. However, you may bring your own pans.
  • A cooler (we recommend), laundry basket or large tote bag to easily transport your meals home.

Will my children enjoy the meals?

We strive to make each meal family friendly which is why we offer you 14 choices each month and the opportunity to remove any ingredient that your family doesn't like. Please encourage your children to try new foods (we were astonished when our toddlers asked for more Sante Fe Salmon!) each month!

Do I need to know how to cook?

No, all the ingredients are chopped, diced and prepared for you. Just follow the recipe at each of our prep stations and start assembling. During every session our Let's Eat! staff is available to answer all your questions. For each of our meals we provide a Let's Eat! cooking label that contains cooking instructions and a suggested side dish and wine.

What if I need to reschedule?

Due to the amount of planning each Let's Eat! session requires, we typically order the ingredients 3-5 days prior to each scheduled session. For this reason, it is important that you understand that you have made a commitment to purchase the food you have ordered. Therefore, canceling within 5 days or less of your scheduled session means you are responsible for the FULL cost of the session. Your options are to contact us and we will assemble your meals for an additional charge or you may receive a session credit that you may use within 2 weeks of your cancelled session. If you cancel more than five days before your scheduled session, you may reschedule at anytime or call us for a full refund.

How much freezer space will I need?

Each of our monthly menus use a combination of pans and ziploc bags so that your meals will fit inside your freezer. We suggest cleaning out an area in your freezer before attending a Let's Eat! session.

What is the recommended procedure for thawing the food?

We suggest placing the meals in the refrigerator one to two days before they are needed. NEVER THAW ANY FOOD ON THE COUNTERTOP. This can cause foodborne illness and is very dangerous. To thaw quickly, you may use a defrost setting on your microwave or place the pan in cold (not hot or warm) water. If food is not defrosted completely, you will need to increase the cooking times. Please see Storing & Cooking for more information.

Can I register for more than one session at a time?

Absolutely! Our menu changes every month and we always post this month's menu and next month's menu...so you can sign up for this month and next month!

What if I have a small family or I am single?

At the time of assembly, simply divide your meal into half portions and put them into separate ziplocs or pans. We provide half size pans for you to split your meals.

What if I still have questions or don't completely understand the process?

If, after reviewing our site, you have additional questions or still don't understand our concept, feel free to contact your preferred Let's Eat! location or stop by during a session to see what a Let's Eat! session is all about.

What is an "Optional Substitution"?

Let’s Eat! is always striving to bring our customers the most nutritious, highest quality meals possible. At participating Let’s Eat! locations, our menu ‘substitute feature’ enables our customers the option of substituting certain all natural, hormone and antibiotic free proteins, whole wheat pasta and brown rice for a nominal up-charge that will vary by location. Our all-natural poultry substitution options are sourced from Ashley Farms whose products are consistently rated tender, juicy and flavorful due to the extraordinary high standards to which they raise their poultry. The all-natural chickens and turkey from Ashley Farms are humanely grown in low-stress environmentally controlled housing and fed wholesome grain feed. The meticulous care taken at every step of the growth, processing, and distribution process makes Ashley Farms products the most nutritious, healthful foods you can buy. Unrefined whole grain products, such as whole wheat pasta and brown rice, provide an increased level of antioxidants, which has been proven to significantly reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease. We are thrilled to be able to provide our customers with healthful and delicious options to make meals customizable to fit their preferences and lifestyles.

Do you offer nutritional information for optional substitution ingredients?

The nutritional content will not change with the substitution of all-natural products. With the substitution of whole wheat pasta or brown rice, there is a small increase in the amount of fiber per serving (3-4 grams).

How do “All Natural” proteins differ from regular proteins?

At all natural farms, the animals are raised humanely in a free-range, low stress environment without the use of growth hormones or antibiotics. The meat is processed and packaged with no preservatives or chemicals.

Does the nutritional information vary?

There is no measurable difference in the nutritional information between all natural and regular proteins.

What is the difference between all natural and organic?

Organic is a more stringent USDA designation that also requires the farm to use 100% chemical-free pesticides and fertilizers. Because "organic" is a federal certification, it requires grading & inspection and is significantly more expensive.

How do whole wheat products differ from white flour products?

Whole wheat products contain whole grains that have not been refined or processed. They have a nuttier, fuller taste than white flour products.

Does the nutritional information vary?

Whole wheat pasta, rice and tortillas will have nearly the same fat, calorie, sugar and protein content as white flour ingredients but will have 2 to 3 times the amount of fiber, depending on the brand.

What are the health benefits of whole wheat grains?

The primary benefit of whole grains is they include more plant material resulting in more antioxidants. Antioxidants have been scientifically proven to reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Whole grains also have more fiber, which promotes digestive health.
